I was diagnosed with RSD in 1985 following surgery for carpal tunnel and tendonitis. It took 8 yrs for me to be in a remission of sorts. I now find myself in need of a knee replacement and my MD has told me that I am at a very high risk of it not working and that I could be in more pain then I am now. I've changed my whole life dealing with RSD and my hand and arm limitations. I want to be able to walk!! Can anyone give me any stats on this or advise. Or do I just take the risk when I can't walk anymore or am falling down.?I'm very scared and definetly don't ever want to go back to where I was for 8yrs getting a handle on the RED, I nearly killed myself during that time period. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
